I have used a Roland A-Series 49 midi keyboard for a long time on Logic Pro X and it has always worked with zero problems. Then just the other day, when I plug it in to the computer, a message pops up that says, 'Select Midi channel 1 on your Roland A-Series 49 Keyboard'. Logic is receiving no midi data from the keyboard. I select channel 1 on the keyboard to make sure and no data is crossing over whatsoever. After this message pops up, I can find no evidence that it even recognizes the presence of the keyboard. My other midi keyboards work just fine when plugged in. I tried deleting the Roland's drivers and reinstalling and it still does the same thing. I did a midi test on the computer and it is receiving data from the keyboard. Just for kicks, I opened up Logic EXPRESS, and the keyboard WORKED JUST FINE! I don't understand and I don't know what else to do. Any ideas?

You may know all this but it's always good to get the basics out of the way.
First, it's a common misconception to think that MIDI is sound, or is related to audio.

MIDI is data, when you play a note on your keyboard, it send basic performance data out of the MIDI connector.
The note name, (example: G4), The speed or velocity of the note played (soft<--->loud) and how long you held the note (length)
MIDI is like a player piano roll!

Your keyboard sound is not transmitted via MIDI, for that you would need an audio interface.
Plus audio cables from your keyboard to the interface.

I assume you've used your keyboard to play Logic's virtual instruments.
